Two tiger skin smugglers arrested

Mysuru, August 1:- The Forest Department sleuths have arrested two people who were smuggling 3.15-metre tiger skin.

The arrested are from Santhemala in Srirangapattana taluk. Akash Rao, 23, and Vishnu, 24, were nabbed after the cops were alerted. DCF Poovaiah and his team were waiting for the smugglers who were coming from KR Sagar to Mysuru. When their car was seized, the cops stumbled upon the prized tiger skin.

Prabhari RFO Lakshmeesha, DFROs Mohan, Sundar, Pramod, staff Satish, Chennabasavaiah, Govinda, Mahantesh, Ravinandan, Madhu and Puttaswamy were part of the raid. (MR/KS)
