Thieves held, 8 two-wheelers recovered

Mysuru, April 18:- Devaraja police have arrested three people who were trying to steal two-wheelers parked at Jayadeva Hospital near K R Hospital with duplicate keys.

The arrested have been identified as Manjunath G S (21), Kiran (20), Pawan Kumar (20) of Gungral Chatra of Elavala hobli. They were caught red-handed when they were trying to steal a two-wheeler. When quizzed, they confessed to stealing two two-wheelers at Devaraja station limits, four at Vijayanagar station limits and one each at Bilikere and Metagalli police station limits. The police have recovered eight two-wheelers worth Rs 4 lakh from the thieves.

DCP Vishnuvardhan and Mahaninga B Nandagavi guided the operation. It was carried out by inspector Shantharam, PSI K Mahadeva Naik, Somashetty, Venugopal, Suresh S, Praveen Kumar, Nagaraj, Prakash K S, Manjunath K M and Umesh. (MR/SH).
