Tyre thieves nabbed
Vijayanagara and Metagalli police nabbed four thieves in connection with tyre theft near Marimallappa College, Vijayanagar fourth stage in the city recently.
The police arrested N Nandesh (23), M S Somesh (24), C Manjunath (23) and N Manjunath (19) on theft charges. Upon interrogation, the thieves confessed to stealing tyres of parked vehicles in Vijayanagar and Saraswathipuram areas. Police recovered eight tyres worth of Rs 50,000.
Vijayanagar police inspector A Guruprasad, PSI Sathish Kumar Urs, Metagalli police inspector Sunilkumar, PSI Kumar were part of the investigative team.
