According to Yedioth Ahronoth, the companies currently operate in Israeli settlements in the West Bank, East Jerusalem or the Syrian Golan Heights, an area labelled as “occupied territories” by the UN The companies deal in various fields, including food and pharmaceutical production and advanced manufacturing.

An international boycott of products, manufactured on Israeli settlements, has been on the rise in 2014. Some customs departments of European Union are also marking such products, for identification in the European market.
