Mysuru, June 29:- Students of Tirumalapura Government School in Periyapattana taluk are scared to come to the school, thanks to the stinking toilets.
One of the basic necessities at the school, toilet, is unhygienic and stinks. More than 100 students who are studying at the primary school are forced to use the toilets that are very bad. The toilet is filled with rainwater and mud and is a breeding ground for mosquitoes. Teachers, officials and school management board have remained unperturbed.
The kitchen of the school is no different as it functions with a leaking roof. People from the nearby areas dump cow dung around the school compound to make it look like a compost pit. An Anganwadi Centre is also functioning in the school premises, where 25 children are studying. Four pregnant women and six new women also come to Anganwadi for food every day. Villagers are unhappy with the administration’s indifference. (MR/KS).
