University of Mysore gets first woman registrar

Mysuru, June 06:- The Prestigious 100-Year-old University of Mysore now gets First woman registrar.

On Tuesday, the state government put an end to the tiff between the authorities of administration in University of Mysore by appointing a senior KAS officer as the registrar.

KAS officer D Bharati who is presently serving as the additional commissioner of Mysuru regional commissionerate in the city has been appointed as the registrar. With this she becomes the first woman to hold the post in the 100-year history of the university.

Speaking to reporters Bharati has confirmed that she got the copy of the order posting on Tuesday and said that she will take charge before Saturday.
