Prime News, Karnataka, Health, Disease, Mysuru, July 5:- With the new set of Covid guidelines coming into force, all the temples in the district were thrown open to the public here on Monday (July 5). Not only temples, but many tourist spots had also banned entry to the public two months back. With coronavirus cases seeing a considerable dip, the authorities have decided to further ease the curfew.
Chamundeshwari Constituency MLA and former minister G T Devegowda and his wife Lalitha visited the Chamundi Hills for the darshan of Goddess Chamundeshwari and offered a special puja. Temple’s chief priest Dr N Shashishekar Dikshit performed the puja rituals.
Talking on the occasion, Devegowda said, “I prayed to the Goddess to help us overcome the pandemic situation. I hope the good days will come back soon.”
The MLA had a word of advice to the devotees who throng temples in thousands. He said, “Wear face masks, keep sanitising your hands regularly and maintain social distance always.” (MR/KS)
