UoM controversy: Accused nabbed

With the arrest of a student, the police have finally solved the case of the photos of Environmental Science students being uploaded on the porn sites, along with phone numbers.

The accused has been identified as Jayanth Kumar (24), a final year student of Environmental Science. He had uploaded the photos of three of his classmates along with phone numbers on a website having porn contents. It is alleged that their professor A G Deviprasad had given more marks to Jayanth in the internal exams than the three girls.
Saddened at getting less marks, the students alleged that the professor did not evaluate the papers properly and gave more marks to Jayanth. They also complained regarding this to the Registrar. They also mocked at Jayanth as a follower of Deviprasad. Insulted by this, Jayanth uploaded their photos on a website. He accepted it in front of the police during enquiry.

A complaint by the students was registered at Jayalakshmipuram police station. They have transferred the complaint to the cyber cell. A complaint has been registered under IPC section 509 and IT act 67(A). Jayanth is now in judicial custody.
