UoM Syndicate divided: Members write to Governor

Syndicate members of the University of Mysore (UoM) have written to Karnataka Governor Vajubhai Vala to ignore the dissent from MSS Kumar.

Kumar, a Syndicate member of UoM had recently sent a dissent letter to the Governor on various controversial subjects happening at UoM. Reacting to it, seven Syndicate members which has signs of G Narayan Prasad, H Ramesh, Prof Nanjundaiah, Prof Kumar, Abdul Salaam, Sharada and Panchalingegowda have sent a letter to the Governor asking him not to consider the dissents of Kumar and stated that he is attempting to create problems to UoM by mixing up with disgruntled elements.

The letter states that Kumar has decided to put all kinds of progressive steps taken at the Syndicate on backfoot and is trying to portray himself that he is fighting against injustice in the university. Kumar’s intention is just to bring a bad name to the university, the members have alleged in the letter.
