Mysuru, May 31:- “Karnataka Goshala Mahasangha welcomes the decision of the central government ban cow slaughter and the act should be effectively implemented,” said the president of the association Dr S K Mittal.
He was addressing a press meet at the Mysuru Press Club on Wednesday. He condemned the protests and opposition by the progressive thinkers and various organisations in order to oppose the act.
“Cattle are being illegally transported in Mangaluru, Mysuru and other regions and police should act immediately against it. The act should also benefit all the animals,” he said.
“When he was the CM, B S Yeddyurappa had implemented Karnataka state Goseva organisation. But Siddaramaiah completely sidelined it,” he alleged.
VHP leader Muralidhar, Gopal Rao, Goutham Salecha, Dattathreya Shindhe, Mulluru Shivaram of Pinjrapole society were present in the press meet.
