V N Akki, theatre artiste from Raichur was felicitated by Rangayana on the occasion of Navaratri Rangothsava held at Bhoomigeetha of Rangayana, Kalamandir, on Wednesday.
Speaking on the occassion, V N Akki said: “Theatre is evergreen and everlasting. There are many social problems. Theatre is striving to create awareness and find solutions to such problems through its own way.”
He expressed his grief saying that theatre lovers are decreasing day by day.
“I am privileged to be honoured by Muddu Krishna here. It is my pleasure to be a part of this event,” he said.
“Governments make thousand promises but deliver few. Politicians are making fool of people. We need to realise this soon. Government must provide facilities to theatre and theatre artists,” he added.
Senior theatre artiste Muddu Krishna, Deputy Director of Rangayana Nirmala Matapathi, coordinator Vinayakabhat Haasanagi and others were present.
