Varunya to represent India at Mary Pierce Indian Ocean series in Mauritius

Cycle Pure Agarbathies has taken another step forward in their commitment towards development of sports in the country by continuing to associate with Varunya Chandrashekar, a promising young tennis player from Mysuru.

Varunya is one of the six players who will be representing India at Mary Pierce Indian Ocean Series ITF women’s US $10,000 event which is underway from June 8 to 24 in Mauritius. Legendary tennis player Mary Pierce will guide and conduct the participants throughout the tournament at Grand Baie, Mauritius.

For the past four years, Cycle Pure Agarbathies has been sponsoring the tennis prodigy to support her talent. 20-year-old Varunya has triumphed in 32 national ranking tennis tournaments while finishing runners-up in seven others. Her highest national ranking in tennis is 16th.

Having won a number of titles in recent times which include National Ranking AITA Women’s Tournament 2016 (Mumbai), National Ranking AITA Women’s Tournament 2016 (Bengaluru) and National Ranking AITA Women’s Tournament 2016 (Pune), this ingenious talent aspires to climb up the WTA rankings.
