Vijayendra evolves master plan to win in Varuna Constituency; several Cong, JD(S) members join BJP

Mysuru, April 13:- Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate for Varuna Constituency, B Y Vijayendra, son of former chief minister and BJP state president B S Yeddyurappa, is preparing a master plan to win in Assembly elections.

He convinced several Vokkaliga leaders of Congress and Janata Dal (Secular) to join the BJP. At a function held at a private hotel in the city on Friday, many of them joined the saffron party. Former Zilla Panchayat member from Varuna Siddegowda and JD(S) leader Nagesh Gowda are some of the prominent names.

“I have been touring Varuna constituency for the last few days. BJP is getting an overwhelming response from the public. Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has not done much after taking charge. Farmers are struggling due to crop loss. Siddaramaiah might have helped several people of his choice, but not the common man. He could have developed is constituency and made it number 1, but he didn’t. Sand mafia has grown uncontrollably,” said  Vijayendra.

Kote Shivanna and others were present on the occasion. (MR/KS).
