A leopard strayed into Gopalapura village in Mysuru district, triggering fear among the villagers. Senior forest officials and police department personnel rushed to the village after the locals complained that they spotted a leopard prowling in the area.
According to the sources, the villagers, who noticed the leopard walking into a brick kiln, ensured the animal did not escape from there. As soon as the news spread, the villagers gathered at the spot and sent SOS to forest department officials to trap the leopard.
It was tough for the forest officials to control the surging crowds but managed it finally.
