Mysuru, September 20:- “Vishwakarma community, which has been contributing for the welfare of the society, should improve financially,” said MLA of Periyapattana K Mahadev. He was speaking at Vishwakarma Jayanti held at Periyapattana taluk panchayat auditorium, organised by national festivals celebration committee and Vishwakarma Seva Samiti on Thursday.
“Vishwakarma community has its own identity. They are known for mingling with the society. Though the Vishwakarma community is hardworking, they are not financially strong. Rich from the community should help the poor to make them improve,” he added.
“People who are fed up with corruption in the taluk for the last 30 years have chosen me as the MLA. I am working to get them justice. I came to know that several officials ask for a bribe and make the public wait for long to get their work done. If they don’t want to work in Periyapattana taluk, let them go. It is better if they don’t make me suspend them,” he added. He instructed the tahsildar to give notice to the government officials who don’t attend the government events.
Secretary of Vishwakarma Seva Samiti, B S Hirannaiah, taluk panchayat president K R Nirupa, zilla panchayat member K C Jayakumar, taluk panchayat member Srinivas, Moran Raju, R S Mahadev, Rangaswamy, Mallikarjun, tahsildar A R Suraj and others were present. (MR/KS).
