AH Vishwanath reveals how ‘Operation Kamala’ was executed

Mysuru, November 16:- Former minister AH Vishwanath revealed how ‘Operation Kamala’ took place in Karnataka. He revealed that it was BJP MP V Srinivas Prasad who brought him to Bharatiya Janata Party and said the relationship between him and Prasad resulted in B S Yediyurappa becoming chief minister.

Vishwanath visited the BJP city office for the first time after joining the party on Friday and had breakfast with BJP leaders. He took part in Kanakadasa Jayanti held in the BJP office.

“Prasad is the reason behind all these political activities in the state. Yediyurappa invited me to join BJP through Prasad. The MP asked me to take initiative to bring BJP to power in the state. Everything was discussed and decided at his residence. I wouldn’t have agreed to this if anyone else had spoken to me on this,” he said.

“The office of Janata Dal (Secular) is in the name of a family. But here in BJP, a leader spends the money he earned to construct an office for the party. None of the writers or political thinkers analysed the political developments in the state properly. They called us disqualified MLAs and cheaters. It brought us pain. We have not shifted loyalties for power. It is political polarisation. People will accept us. District BJP has the responsibility of making people accept us. Party has to work for us for the sacrifice we have made for the party. When caste politics increased in Karnataka, we had to take this action,” he added.
