Prime News, Karnataka, Politics, Mysuru, June 19:- Bharatiya Janata Party MLC A H Vishwanath has been very vocal in his criticism of Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa and his family members. His no-holds-barred attack against the Chief Minister has not gone down well with many party leaders. Hitting out at the veteran leader, Chamaraja Constituency MLA L Nagendra said on Saturday (June 19), “Ours is a disciplined party. Vishwanath is fairly new to us and he doesn’t know our party’s principles. Firing in the wind will not fetch him anything.”
Nagendra was talking while distributing ration kits to 1,000 poor families at Maharani Degree College here. He looked upset with Vishwanath’s unwanted comments in Bengaluru on Thursday (June 17).
The MLA said, “Vishwanath got answers for all his questions by evening. In fact, as a senior, he should be guiding the government. There is no point in making allegations without any proof. One should know his limits before talking. He is not only damaging the party but also damaging his own image. He should not become a laughing stock.”
Nagendra concluded, “Time and again, he is talking to the media out of frustration because he did not get a ministerial berth. He should not say anything against the party leaders.”
It may be recalled that Vishwanath had attacked Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa by stating that he is not in the condition to run the state government.
Vishwanath had also said, “‘Public opinion about the government is becoming negative. We respect the leadership of Yediyurappa. We respect his contribution to building the BJP in Karnataka. But now, Yediyurappa does not have that spirit, that strength to run the government because of his age and the health factor as well as the interference of his family members in all departments. No minister is happy.” (MR/KS)
