Vote without fail, says former cricketer Javagal Srinath

Mysuru, April 12:- “Voting is a duty and responsibility. Citizens should think and vote without fail,” said former India Team cricketer Javagal Srinath.

He was speaking after inaugurating the ‘Cyclothan’ organised by District SVEEP Committee at the premises of Kote Anjaneyaswamy Temple here on Thursday.

“Youngsters who have turned 18 should cast their first vote. Voting percentage is decreasing in urban areas. Several campaigns are being held to increase it,” he added.

Ambassdor of SVEEP Committee Shri Harsha sang a song on the importance of voting.

Principal District and Sessions Court Judge Suresh K Vantigodi administered oath. 2,000 people took part in Cyclothan wearing a white cap and T-shirts having the date and time of election on it.

Actor Dhananjay, election expenditure watchers Sandeep Kumar Mishra and Suraj Kumar Gupta, senior police officer Dharanidevi Malagatti, Zilla Panchayat CEO K Jyothi, MCC Commissioner Shilpa Nag, Additional Commissioner Shivananda Murthy, District Judge Chandrashekhar, executive secretary of JSS Mahavidyapeetha Dr C G Betsurmath and others were present.
