Walkathon to create awareness on Alzheimer’s disease

Mysuru, September 25:- Alzheimer’s & Related Society of India (ARDSI), Mysore chapter, in association with Sarada Vilas Pharmacy College, is organising a walkathon to create awareness about Alzheimer’s disease in the city on September 26.

As a part of the awareness programme, health screening and memory screening will be conducted at Chamundi Hills for elderly citizens.

The event will be inaugurated by B S Parthasarathy, president, Sarada Vilas Educational Institutions. Hanumanthu, proprietor, DRC Cinemas will be the chief guest and Dr Rajesh Udapudi, principal, JSS Ayurveda Medical College, Mysuru will be guest of honour.

Dr Hanumanthachar Joshi, principal, Sarada Vilas College of Pharmacy and Chairman ARDSI Mysore chapter will preside over the function.

ARDSI Mysore chapter was established in 2012 to cater to the needs of AD patients and their caregivers. World  Alzheimer’s Dday is observed in the month of September across the world to sensitise the public regarding AD. – NAV
