Mysuru, July 21:- The officials of Mysuru City Corporation (MCC) paid a surprise visit to a hotel at Maharaja Complex on Mother Teresa Road (BN Road), opposite Mysuru KSRTC Bus Terminal and sealed the hotel for violation of rules.
All the hotel owners in the city were issued notice not to release wastes and garbage to Under-Ground Drainages (UGD) which leads to water clogging and overflow especially during monsoon season. But the hotel owners have not responded to the notice and taking appropriate measures to control the waste water flowing into the roads. The officials who inspected the hotel found the hotel management flouting norms and sealed it.
The MCC officials said they would grant permission to reopen the hotel if they take action as prescribed. (KS, NGB)
