Mysuru, April 29:- The highest number of coronavirus cases in Mysuru district is found in Nanjangud taluk. District in-charge Minister S T Somashekar on Wednesday handed over 20,000 face masks to be distributed in Nanjangud Constituency.
He held a discussion with the officials of coronavirus task force at Mini Vidhana Soudha in Nanjangud and handed over the masks to Deputy Commissioner Abhiram G Sankar.
“There is no vaccine for coronavirus as on today. But we can stay healthy if we maintain social distancing and follow all the instructions given by the Health Department. We have to give importance to personal hygiene. People of Nanjangud need not worry. The state government and district administration are with the people of Nanjangud,” he said.
“The number of cases is reducing in Nanjangud. New coronavirus cases have not been reported. I am also working 24×7 like officials. MLAs and officials can contact me at any time,” he added.
