Mysuru, August 6:- “Chief minister H D Kumaraswamy has not waived off farm loans. He has no clarity about the waiver of loans at nationalised banks,” alleged BJP state president B S Yeddyurappa. He was speaking to media in the city on Sunday.
“Farmers are not getting new loans. Co-operative societies are sinking. We held a meeting of BJP leaders of Mysuru regarding the local body elections. Three teams have been formed to tour the state to strengthen the party. We don’t mind Congress and JD(S) joining hands in the elections,” he added.
“BJP will win 22 seats in Lok Sabha elections. Narendra Modi has no competitors. The economy of the country has improved. I will hold a meeting of all the MLAs on August 9. Many have tried to split Veerashaiva Lingayats to avoid me becoming the chief minister. Now the demand for a separate religion status is forgotten. This will not continue. Shobha Karandlaje will contest the Lok Sabha election. I will attend a meeting of BJP workers at Nanjanagudu and go to Delhi,” he said. (MR/KS).
