Mysuru, September 29:- “Hindi language is not in need of us but we need it,” said the director of South India Hindi Prachara Sabha of Ernakulam, Dr Manjunath N Ambiga. He was speaking at Hindi divas organised by the Hindi departments of University of Mysore and Maharaja College on Saturday.
“People identify me with the Hindi language. It has the power of making one knowledgeable. Our mother tongues may differ. But Hindi is the mother tongue of India. We should respect Hindi the way we respect our elders. If we learn Hindi, we can travel length and breadth of India,” he added.
Administrative officer of Maharaja College, Prof Anita Brags, principal C P Sunitha, Dr Basavaraj K Barakera were present.
