ISRO created a record by successfully sending 20 satellites, totally weighing 1,288 kg, into the orbit in a single launch by its trust worthy Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV) C-34 from Satish Dhawan Space Centre (SHAR center) at Sriharikota in Andhra Pradesh. By this feat, India became the only third country in the world after USA and Russia to achieve this credit. This mission included Cartosat-2, 17 foreign satellites and 2 satellites by other Indian institutions of higher learning. Interesting to note here is that more than half of the satellites sent in this mission are of USA. ‘Team ISRO’ did a marvelous job and made us proud about its achievements. With this success India enhanced its credibility in international space market.
