We’ve a super high command in Mysuru: MLA GT Devegowda

Prime News, Karnataka, Mysuru, January 7:- Janata Dal (Secular) MLA and former minister G T Devegowda, who has been in the news in the last couple of days, on Thursday (January 7) said the party has a high command in H D Kumaraswamy, but there is a super high command in Mysuru who thinks he is bigger than anyone.

-He said, “Kumaraswamy has obviously said those who talk anything against the party will face action and my party colleague from Mysuru has also repeated the same. For the Hunsur by-election, no one called me for campaigning. Kumaraswamy himself has said he will issue tickets for Zilla and Taluk Panchayat elections.”

Devegowda said, “Contradicting statements are being made against me for no fault of mine. As long as I was in Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), I was a disciplined worker. Even in JD(S), I have remained disciplined. I did not recommend the candidature of a weak candidate from JD(S) to help the BJP. I have not stooped down to such a level as reported in the media. I have not even resorted to anti-party activities so far.”

The Chamundeshwari Constituency MLA said, “In the last Assembly elections, I canvassed everywhere in Mysuru district, including K R Nagar. The party should see who is working against it and then take action. Our leaders need to self-introspect before making a statement. Action should be taken against those whose actions are detrimental to our party.  Our own party men did not allow my son G D Harish Gowda to contest from Hunsur. Despite this, I canvassed for A H Vishwanath who was the party candidate then.”  (MR/KS)
