It is very unfortunate to know that several property owners have not paid their water bills to the tune of Rs. 133.81 crore to the Mysuru City Corporation (MCC). Strangely, some government departments are also in the list of defaulters for not paying the dues to the tune of crores along with 36.5 thousand connection holders with due amounting to more than Rs. 5000 each. This has led the first citizen of the city to intervene and to remind the fellow citizens to clear the dues. This can make MCC fund crunch and it may also affect the developmental activities. Residents should come forward to pay the dues without further delay. The same public make a hue and cry if water is not provided even for a few days. Citizen of the city should feel it as their responsibility and clear the dues before they received notices in this regard. Even government departments should clear the dues at the earliest and become examples to general public.
