Whopping collection at Nanjangud temple

Mysuru, July 15:- Offering boxes at the historic Nanjundeshwara Temple in Nanjangud, popularly known as Dakshina Kashi,  have received a jackpot. The temple has received Rs 2 crore, 94 grams of gold, 4.5 kgs of silver and 42 foreign currencies.

On Saturday around 200 employees in the presence of Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Kumaraswamy of the temple, counted the offerings received at the temple for one month.

The temple had received Rs 1 crore from the devotees in the month of May-June 2018. (MR/KS)
