Wild elephants give tough time for forest dept

Mysuru, November 27:- It was a herculean task for the forest department men to push wild elephants back to the woods at Billena Hosahalli of Hunsur taluk, Hanagodu hobli on Sunday.

Three elephants were seen camping at the village adjacent to the forest. Two elephants returned to the forest, while the third one was reluctant to go.

An operation is being held to send the elephant back to the forest from the bank of Lakshmanatheertha river. Tamed elephants Abhimanyu and Srinivasa elephants are being used for the operation. A huge crowd gathered at the spot, hindering the whole ooperation. (MR/SN).
