Will collect public opinion on Disneyland: Sa Ra Mahesh

Mysuru, December 10:-  “Disneyland will be constructed near KRS Dam in Srirangapattana, considering the situation at the dam and farmers. The history and tradition of Mysuru will also be taken into account. It will solve unemployment in the region. We will collect public opinion on Disneyland construction. We have 76 acres of land belonging to Brindavana. Around 400 acres of land is with the Tourism Department. We have visited KR Sagar and analysed the situation,” said Tourism Minister Sa Ra Mahesh.

Speaking to media persons on the proposed Disneyland construction at KR Sagar on Sunday, the tourism minister said many people are speaking on the issue without proper information.

“There is no need to give a twist to the foreign trip of former chief minister Siddaramaiah. He has worked as chief minister. May be, he did know the exact date of the commencement of Belagavi Assembly session. He has already held the coalition coordination committee meeting,” he said.

Illegal structures at MRC

“I have already discussed with the president of the Mysore Race Club (MRC) regarding the removal of illegal constructions. First round of the operation has been done. Around 2000 people from Assam have constructed sheds there. The race course has permission for horse racing and nothing else. We will demolish these structures after the session,” he added. (MR/KS)
