Mysuru, April 24:- “I have been working for the party since student days. Party leaders had assured me of the ticket. But now they have cheated me. I will contest as a rebel BJP candidate,” said S Jayaprakash at a press meet at Mysuru press club on Tuesday.
“I worked hard to strengthen the party since 25 years. I gave up my opportunity for the sake of Shankaralingegowda. Being a bachelor, I am a suitable candidate for the party. I am upset by the denial of ticket,” he added.
“Voters and fans have urged me to contest as an independent candidate. If I get even one vote less than the official candidate of the party, I will quit politics,” Jayaprakash added.
