Mysuru, May 29:- District in-charge minister ST Somashekhar inaugurated multi village drinking water project at Kanagalu village of Periyapattana taluk on Friday. He inspected the pump house and chlorination units.
“If MLAs look after the works, it will be done quickly. Water resources minister Ramesh Jarkiholi has visited Mysuru district. He is giving us good support. He has assured of all cooperation for development. MP Pratap Simha is a good worker. He brings the required projects to Mysuru. Such MPs are rare to find. Deputy Commissioner Abhiram G Sankar and public representatives have worked hard to control coronavirus pandemic,” he said.
“Coronavirus cases were completely under control in the district. Now returnees from Maharashtra and other states are posing problems. They are being quarantined now. We have discussed with the chief minister and temporarily stopped people from entering Karnataka from other states. A decision on opening temples and malls will be taken based on the guidelines of the central government after May 31,” he added.
“The minister responds to the queries of everyone. He is concerned about the people. This water project will be helpful for 15 villages. Everyone who has worked for this to happen should be appreciated,” said Simha.
“The minister had told that he would come for the event only if social distancing is maintained. Everyone here followed social distancing, wore masks and used hand sanitizer. When I requested the minister to discuss the multi-village drinking water project with rural development minister, he discussed it with minister KS Eshwarappa and got the project cleared. He listens to our demands and requests patiently,” said MLA Mahadev.
Deputy Commissioner Abhiram G Sankar, former MLA Basavaraj, zilla panchayat CEO Prashanth Kumar Mishra and others were present. (MR\GK).
