Former revenue minister and MLA V Srinivas Prasad, who recently announced about quitting Congress, said that there will be no change in his plans. Apparently, the senior Congress leader is miffed with Chief Minister Siddaramaiah for dropping him from the cabinet.
Addressing the media at Manasagangothri, Prasad vented out his anger on Siddaramaiah and said that the current cabinet is ineffective, contrasting the reason cited by the CM as to make the cabinet effective before ousting him from the cabinet. He said that this move by the CM has caused him great pain and hurt his integrity.
When asked about joining the BJP or JD(S), he said that both the parties have approached him but hasn’t finalised anything yet. “For now, the prime objective is to come out of the Congress,”, he said.
At a function, BJP MP Pratap Simha gave an open invitation to Prasad to join his party.
