Mysuru, January 11:- “I will remain neutral in the election for the Mayor’s post of Mysuru City Corporation (MCC). Nothing happens as we decide,” said MLA GT Devegowda.
He was speaking to media regarding Mayoral election in the city on Friday.
“When I was the district in-charge minister, I suggested our Janata Dal (Secular) city president Cheluvegowda be made the Mayor but they chose Ravi Kumar. Later, I favoured Ramani of Vishwakarma community as Mayor. Nothing happens as we plan in Mayoral elections,” he said, indirectly expressing his dissatisfaction over MLA Sa Ra Mahesh.
“All are ready for the Mayoral elections. Mahesh will finalise the candidate. As I am neutral, the party high command let me remain neutral and I will continue to remain neutral,” he added. (MR/KS)
