With 240 new Covid-19 cases in Mysuru, tally rises to 33,540

Covid-19 deaths in Mysuru district climbs to 724

Mysuru, September 29:- Mysuru district on Monday (September 28) reported 240 new Covid-19 infections, taking it tally to 33,540.

This is the lowest number of cases reported in the district as it had continued to register huge number of positive cases lately and the district now stands second among the districts in the state with respect to number of positive cases and deaths after Bengaluru Urban where 2,23,569 cases have been reported and the fatalities at 2845 so far.

20 patients have been discharged from the Covid Hospitals and Covid Care Centres (CCCs) in the district and the total number of discharged patients stands at 26,121 as of Monday.

Out of 33,540 cases, 6695 are active and the patients have been admitted to various hospitals for treatment. With two new deaths recorded on Monday, the district now has 724 fatalities.

On Monday, not a single district reported double digit deaths, as many as 10 districts have reported zero fatalities. Bengaluru Urban registered 9 deaths, Dakshina Kannada – 7, Ballari and Shivamogga – 6 deaths each, Belagavi, Hassan, Tumakuru and Haveri – 4 deaths each, Kalaburagi, Mysuru and Uttara Kannada – 2 each, Chamarajanagar, Chikkaballapur, Chikkamagaluru, Davangere, Dharwad, Kodagu, Raichur, Vijayapura and Yadgir – one each.
