Woman police officer abuses petrol bunk staff and owner; video surfaces online

Mysuru, March 31:- Amidst the nationwide lockdown to contain coronavirus pandemic, a woman police sub-inspector (PSI) allegedly abused a petrol bunk owner, using foul language for being informed that the petrol bunk ran out of fuel stock – diesel fuel in Nanjangud on Monday.

Nanjangud PSI Yasmeen Taj visited a petrol bunk owned by one Padmanabha and asked bunk staff to fill diesel for her jeep. When the staff said that the bunk has no stock of diesel, she got enraged and allegedly abused the staff and the owner. The video of the incident has gone viral on social media. Citizens have expressed their displeasure over the incident.

Meanwhile, the woman police officer has been transferred from Nanjangud following the incident and has been instructed to report for work at the office of the Superintendent of Police with immediate effect. (KS, NGB)
