Husband accused of murdering her

Mysuru, June 2:- A woman, who was set on fire by her husband on May 29, succumbed to her burn injuries here at the KR Hospital on Friday. Suspecting his wife’s fidelity, Nagesh, a resident of Karadi Mole in Chamarajanagar, doused his wife Mahadevi (22) with kerosene and set her on fire. The woman sustained severe burn injuries was admitted to KR Hospital for treatment where she breathed her last.

She was being treated at the hospital for the last five days. It is alleged Nagesh was torturing her for dowry and suspected her fidelity.  She was married to Nagesh four years ago.  Mahadevi’s family members allege that Nagesh attempted to murder her. The couple has a one-year-old baby boy. Apparently,  Mahadevi told her relatives that Nagesh tried to murder her by setting her on fire Audio of her explaining the incident has been given to the police.
