Mysuru, February 26:- “In a developing nation like India, science and technology, environment conservation, and sustainable development have importance. Women have to get scientific education to help the sustainable development of the nation,” said the retired professor of zoology, Dr S Sudha.
She was speaking after inaugurating Bio-Science Exhibition at the Government Women’s First Grade College at Vijayanagar here on Tuesday.
“Women have to be empowered in the new millennium. For that, higher education is essential for them. Science exhibitions help in developing scientific mindset among the public,” she opined.
Head of the Department of Botany and Zoology Dr C Hemavathi said that exhibition has helped in bringing out talents and creativity in students.
Head of the Department of Chemistry Dr Shivaprasad, principal Dr Satish Babu and others were present. (MR/GK)
