Works at Agasthyeshwara temple going on at snail’s pace

Mysuru, March 23:- Devotees of Agasthyeshwara temple have expressed their dissatisfaction over delayed developmental works at Agasthyeshwara and Hanumantheshwara temple at T Narasipura. The unnecessary delay is holding up the famous car festival which the place is known for.

The reconstruction works at the temple began in March 2018 and was supposed to be completed by 2019 July as promised by tender holder Anantha Raju. But the villagers allege that even after a year the work has not reached the final stage. They said that only 4-5 labours are working which requires at least 40-50 labours. Villagers Swaminath Gowda, P Puttaraju, Kumar and priests have urged the authorities to look into the issue. (MR/KS).
