Workshop for girls on ‘How to be successful’
Bharathiya Jain Sanghatan (BJS), Mysuru, in association with Department of Studies in Commerce, UoM, organised three-day workshop on empowerment of girls to face the social challenges of 21st century.
Assistant professor at Government First Grade College, Bilikere trained 56 students of the department, covering various subjects like how to communicate within the family, how to manage generation gap, how to share information with parents and fami ly members, how to make friends and being one, to maintain self esteem, self defence techniques, use of media and technology and cyber crimes. The workshop was inaugurated by Prof Yashoda of Dept of Sociology, Manasagangotri. Prof Indira of Department of Economics was the chief guest for the valedictory function. Chairman of Commerce department Nagendra Babu, President, BJS Mysuru, Prakash Srisrimaal, Secretary BJS, Sukhraj Vinayakiya and others were present on the occasion.
