A two-day advanced level workshop on Pharmacovigilance was inaugurated at JSS College of Pharmacy in city on Friday. The workshop was inaugurated by Dr Shanthy Gunasekaran, Deputy Drugs Controller, CDSCO, Bengaluru.
Dr Shanthy Gunasekaran briefed the participants on current scenario of PvPI and its implications.
The aim of this workshop is to provide training in order to advance the knowledge and develop skills amongst technical associates and coordinators working for Adverse Reaction Monitoring Centres under PvPI, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India.
The two-day workshop covers various aspects of monitoring drug and vaccine safety. Dr G Parthasarathi, co-ordinator, Southern Regional Centre of PvPI, briefed about objectives of the workshop to the participants.
