While studying in college, students should focus on their future goals in life, be it higher education or employment, opined Smitha Chitranshi, trainer at Amity University.
Speaking as a resource person at the workshop on “Soft skills and interview skills” held recently at Sarada Vilas College for the sixth semester students, she said that in the modern competitive world having a strong personality is more important than scoring high marks in the examination.
Principal Dr A R Nagabhushana, who presided over the function, observed that “knowledge is indeed power, but today it is not enough and so it has to be supplemented by positive thinking, pleasant personality and communication skills. A student can climb the ladder of success only if he/she develops all these qualities,” he added.
