World Environment Day celebrated at GSSS School

Mysuru, June 8:- World Environment Day was celebrated at GSSS School premises at Siddarthanagar here on Thursday.

B K Nataraj, member of the board and co-ordinator, GSSS, inaugurated the event by watering the plant. He called upon the students to plant more trees in their surroundings.

Students from Higher Primary School and High School sang a song on “Parisara Samrakshane” and performed a mime based on the theme “Protect our environment.” A sapling was planted to mark the occasion.

The students of the high school participated in a rally holding placards with World Environment Day slogans.

Honorary secretary Vanaja B Pandit, GSSS; A V Sudha, principal of the school and Sumana Priyavratha, head mistress of the school were also present. The LKG students were dressed in green to mark the occasion. (NGB)
