Worms found in rice kept for distribution

Mysuru, October 17:- Worms were found in rice kept at ration shop and mid-day meals at KFCSC stall near Bannimantap on Tuesday. Public expressed their anger over the bad quality of of foodgrains.

Around 339 quintals of wheat and 200 quintals of rice have been kept in the store room.  Worms were found in the rice kept for distribution. BJP members alleged that the uncleaned foodgrains have been  stocked up. They urged the food inspector to take immediate action.

Huge amount of foodgrains purchased by the state government for distribution is getting wasted. It shows the lackadaisical approach of the officials concerned.  BJP Raitha Morcha members inspected the store room and hit out at the government. (MR/KS).
