Wrong info being spread about employees of UoM

Mysuru, July 11:- “Many people are spreading false information about the appointment of temporary employees to the University of Mysore. If they continue torturing us like this, we will apply for euthanasia,” said the president of the Association of Temporary Employees, Basavaraj at a press meet held at Mysuru Press Club on Tuesday.

“Research scholars and others are spreading false information. Though only 69 employees have been appointed, they are saying 124 which is not true. They are going around saying it is Rs 1.75-crore burden on UoM, but it is only Rs 3.15 lakh. They are spreading rumours about the salaries of permanent employees as well,” Basavaraj added.

“The appointments have been done according to the needs of the university since 1916. The then vice-chancellor appointed us as per the norms of the university and there has been no violation of rules. But many are spreading lies which would affect our future,” he added.

Srinivas, Madhu, Jayanna, Sudarshan and others were present. (MR/KMR).
