Mysuru, May 22:- The Project Exhibition and Department Technical Forum ‘YANTRIX 2019’ was organised at the Department of Mechanical Engineering of ATME College of Engineering here recently. The event showcased technical projects, hobby projects and research findings.
The event was inaugurated by chief guest Dr G B Krishnappa, professor and dean R & D, VVCE Mysuru and guest of honour Mohammed Asif, deputy manager, Rane Madras, Mysuru.
They emphasised on Industry 4.0 and the opportunities that innovative projects can help shape the careers of young engineers in the dynamic society. They expressed their pleasure in understanding the efforts taken by the department in arranging such events and providing a platform for the emerging graduates.
The inauguration was followed by inspection and evaluation of projects displayed by students from various colleges pertaining to disciplines of automation, robotics, agricultural equipment, automobiles, composite materials, food processing and manufacturing related technologies. A detailed evaluation was followed and students succeeded in answering all the relevant queries related to the practical works and its impact on society.
More than seven projects approved by KSCST took part in the event. The winners were adjudged and prizes were distributed to the winners. Valedictory was held in the evening and the judges congratulated the winners.
Dr Ratnakar, HoD, Department of Mechanical Engineering thanked the faculties and students for their active participation. Prof Devaraj compared the event. Prof Deepak MVS coordinated on the occasion. Dr Srinivas delivered vote of thanks. (MR)
