Yeddyurappa blames state government over Cauvery dispute

Mandya/Mysuru: Former Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa visited Mandya and extended his support for the ongoing protests in the leadership of former MP G Madegowda. Later he participated in the Rakshabandhan program held at Vijaya Vitala College, Mysuru.

“The state government made a mistake by accepting to release water to Tamil Nadu. The government should have explained the plight of Karnataka and shouldn’t have accepted to release water to Tamil Nadu in the statement” he said.

“Siddaramaiah says Jagadish Shettar also agreed to release 10,000 cusecs of water to Tamil Nadu. He is escaping from his responsibility and is pointing finger towards others. This is not the way, a responsible chief minister behaves,” Yeddyurappa expressed his dissatisfaction.
