Mysuru, March 29:- Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has decided to vacate his constituency, Varuna for his son Dr Yatindra. Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) state president and former chief minister B S Yeddyurappa, who has set his eyes on the constituency, is planning to field his son B Y Vijayendra to contest from Varuna Constituency.
Yeddyurappa has already held discussions with the party workers. This must have come as a shocker to Siddaramaiah who thought it would be a safe contest for his son Dr Yatindra. The number of Lingayat voters in the constituency is worrying the Chief Minister.
An aspirant for a BJP ticket from Varuna, Ka Pu Siddalingaswamy said that he would support Vijayendra if he contests. (MR/KS).
