Mysuru, February 19:- Mysuru Brahmana Yuva Vedike organised Adhyatmika Jagattu event at Ramakrishna Nagar Circle to mark 184th birth anniversary of Ramakrishna Paramahamsa on Tuesday.

“Mysuru has a rich cultural heritage. Ramakrishna Nagar is attractive by spiritual activities. Thousands of people come here for their walk. We can create a healthy environment if we involve ourselves in yoga and meditation every day. We are planning to set up yoga centres at all MCC Wards,” she said.
“We observe the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda. It was Ramakrishna Paramahamsa who transformed Narendra. Everyone should cultivate spiritual thinking,” said former Mayor RJ Narasimha Iyengar.
“There was a demand for the statue of Sri Ramakrishna Paramahamsa at Ramakrishna Nagar for many years. After many protests and demands, it has been fulfilled. The statue has been constructed as per the guidance of Sri Ramakrishna Ashram. This can be a stage for the artistes in the city who can make it to the mainstream. We request the government to construct the statue of Sharada Mate at Sharada Devi Nagar,” said Congress leader NM Naveen Kumar.
