A mass yoga session was held for the traffic police personnel at Mysore Race Course premises in the city on Monday.
With an aim to make the police personnel in the city more people-friendly and tourist-friendly, the Mysuru City Police launched ‘Operation Swan’ recently. As part of this initiative, over 200 traffic constables took part in the yoga demonstration at Mysuru Race Course premises. The programme is aimed to sensitise the policemen on how to behave courteously with the public and tourist and enhance the reputation of Police Department.
The traffic constables attended the awareness programmes on ‘Role and responsibilities’ and ‘Effective regulation of traffic and enforcement of traffic rules.’
Mysuru Commissioner of Police Dr A Subramanyeshwara Rao, DCP (crime and traffic) Dr Vikram Amathe and others were present. -(KS,KK)
