Younger generations have to protect culture: Vidwan Vyasa Theerthacharya

Mysuru, February 22:- “Parents and younger generations have the responsibility of protecting the Indian culture,” said Vidwan Vyasa Theerthacharya here on Wednesday.

He was speaking after inaugurating the Annual Day of Sharadhi Academy of Dance at Veene Sheshanna Bhavan at Kuvempunagar in the city.

He opined that Vedas and Bharatanatya have lot many things in common.

Renowned singer Deepika Pandurangi asked the parents to support their children to perceive the field of art they are comfortable with.

Students of the dance school performed Kalinga Mardhana and other dance forms hailing Lord Krishna.

Pooja R Sethuram and Varsha R Hemmige performed Pahimam Sri Rajarajeshwari dance. Children of the school performed Navanandana Pahi Bharatanatya.

Mysuru District Brahmana Mahasabha president Dr B R Nataraja Jois, Vikram Iyengar of KMPK Trust, M Sharath Chandra, Disha Sharath and others were present.(MR/HN).
